John founded Bread Brothers Bakery in 2006, but the story of Bread Brothers began long before that....
John's grandmother, Della Johnson, opened a home bakery right on the family wheat farm in Sutherland, Utah in the 1940's. Her sandwich breads and donuts became so popular, she supplied the local grocery store! Grandpa Max ran the farm while Della baked fresh bread, and a family heritage of farm-fresh baking was born.
Always passionate about keeping the family baking tradition alive, John studied culinary arts & hospitality & began selling his own breads at local markets and on Mesa street corners so he could test & perfect his own recipes. His belief was, and continues to be, that great baking is a combination of the best, real food ingredients and skill. Great food is simple, nutritious and incredibly delicious!
John's uncle Dave continues to run the farm and we mill his all natural wheat for many of our products from breads and cereals to cinnamon rolls and fresh flour. It's our mission to bring you baked goods from our family business that are truly farm-to-table. We're proud to be your personal baker!
John's Uncle Dave still works the farm. His wheat is 100% all natural and the pride of our bakery.
John's grandparents, Max and Della Johnson, started their farm in Sutherland, UT in the 1940's. Della started a bakery in their home on the farm, supplying the local grocery store with baked goods. It seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
We consider our customers part of our Bread Brothers Family. If we haven't had the chance to bake for you yet, we'd love to meet you! Call or text to pre-order now:
